Local Philadelphia artist Katie Butterfield and myself recently collabed on a concept for Design Philadelphia. As part of the Not a Vacant Lot project, we both designed “Groundpaper” and transformed the cracked and trash-ridden concrete along the Delaware River on the corner of Penn Treaty Park into a graphic silhouette.
You can see it in person as a renegade addition to the River City Festival this Saturday at Penn Treaty Park.
Also, as part of Design Philadelphia, the documentation of our contribution (along with 11 other artist teams) will be projected on the The Play House Cube in the University of the Arts Lot on Broad Street, from October 19-23.
